Jedes weitere Mal genauso. Umgeben von \u00fcber 40\u2019000 trans Menschen und Allys an der Trans Pride Brighton auf der Promenade am Meer entlang zu marschieren (1) mit gl\u00fchendem Herzen, G\u00e4nsehaut am ganzen K\u00f6rper und Tr\u00e4nen in den Augen, ist etwas vom Kraftvollsten und Ber\u00fchrendsten, was ich je erlebt habe. Und immer wieder erleben will. <\/h4><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Text: Mo<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Bereits zum vierten Mal in Folge reisen wir gegen Mitte Juli nach Brighton. \u00abThe Queer Capital of Britain\u00bb, wie sie manchmal auch genannt wird, ist seit langem ein beliebtes Ausflugsziel f\u00fcr Londoner<em>*<\/em>innen, Teenie-Sprachsch\u00fcler*innen und Gays (2).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Just in diesem Brighton war es, da im Jahr 2013 die allererste Trans Pride ausserhalb der USA stattfand, mit ein paar Hundert Teilnehmenden, initiiert von f\u00fcnf lokalen trans Menschen, die sich an der sogenannten Main Pride, die vor allem das L, das G und das B feierte, nicht repr\u00e4sentiert und willkommen f\u00fchlten. Seither gibt es sie. Gewachsen in ihrer Gr\u00f6sse, ist sie ihrem grassroots Ursprung treu geblieben: Von der Community f\u00fcr die Community. Nicht dem Sponsoring verfallen, sondern ein politischer Protest wie eh und je (remember, the first pride was a riot). Keine Soundwagen, sondern eine k\u00fcrzere und zug\u00e4nglichere Route. Keine Firmen-Banner, nur ein wogendes Meer aus Kartonschildern, Flaggen und wundersch\u00f6nen Menschen. Die Themen \u00e4hneln sich hier und da: Verbot von Konversions-Therapien, f*** JK Rowling (3), Trans Rights are Human Rights, Protect Trans Kids (4). Die Menge Menge an kreativen und pointierten Spr\u00fcchen auf den Schildern ist ein kleines Highlight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped Eine Ecke mit DJs zum Tanzen und die einzige kleine Bar, die Alkohol verkauft, sowie weitere Info- und Essensst\u00e4nde gibts im anderen. Alles klein und cute und DIY, alles sehr sorgf\u00e4ltig und inklusiv gedacht, mit Geb\u00e4rdensprach-Dolmetscher*innen, Rollstuhl-Befahrbarkeit, Kinderecke, Einlassbeschr\u00e4nkung (und Warteschlangen), damit es nicht zu eng wird.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Die Menge an Organisationen, die sich f\u00fcr Trans-Themen einsetzen, ist beeindruckend. Die transfeindliche Politik der britischen Regierung und das dahinsiechende Gesundheitswesen zwingen die Menschen, f\u00fcr sich selbst und f\u00fcreinander zu k\u00e4mpfen, Schlupfl\u00f6cher in Gesetzen zu suchen und Supportstrukturen aufzubauen. Da lassen sich f\u00fcr den eigenen Aktivismus Ideen abschauen, Informationen einholen, Kontakte herstellen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Es ist aber nicht nur dieser eine Tag. Es ist die ganze magische Woche davor, die Trans Pride Week, in der zahlreiche Veranstaltungen stattfinden. Open Mic Poetry Night im Queer- und BIPoC-gef\u00fchrten Actors Pub. Makers Markets, an denen cute trans K\u00fcnstler*innen an kleinen Marktst\u00e4nden ihre cute Kunst ausstellen und verkaufen. Das International Trans Pride Film Festival, das am Freitagabend im alten Duke of York Picturehouse Kino mit zwei Stunden sorgf\u00e4ltig kuratierter Trans-Kurzfilme den Auftakt zum Trans Pride Wochenende bildet. Die Stadt f\u00fcllt sich mit Trans-Farben und trans Menschen. Die K\u00f6rper sind sichtbar, am Strand, in den Strassen und Caf\u00e9s, im Supermarkt, an den Events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Die Trans Pride Brighton hat nicht nur andere St\u00e4dte in der UK und in Europa inspiriert, ihre eigenen Trans Prides zu etablieren, sondern auch Brighton als Stadt gepr\u00e4gt. Neben den althergebrachten cis-gay Bars, Bear Pubs und Sexshops entstehen neue, queer-inklusive Treffpunkte. Das Actors Pub. Der kleine Buchladen Queery mit Caf\u00e9 ohne Konsumzwang. Das grosse queere Ledwards Community-Center, das t\u00e4glich ge\u00f6ffnet hat und in dem Menschen bezahlt arbeiten. Im Tesco Supermarkt um die Ecke, im punkigen Caf\u00e9, im fancy Kleiderladen arbeiten trans Menschen. Aber auch Projekte wie MyGenderation, die bereits \u00fcber 100 Kurz-Dokus von und \u00fcber trans Menschen produziert und ver\u00f6ffentlicht haben, tragen dazu bei.
